Google site limiter
Are you trying to find reliable statistics on the web?
Use a site limiter to ensure a more trustworthy result. You can limit to a type of domain, or even to a specific website. For example, if I wanted to search population statistics I could do either:
population statistics site:.gov
or
population statistics site:census.gov
You can use the site limiter for any domain or website: .edu and .org are other possible options. Do be wary of anything from .com or .net, though. These last two are often consumer-driven and full of biases.
When needing supporting demographic information, it may not be readily available in the studies you have found. Government agencies are the most consistent and reliable data collectors. The databases and weblinks below are our recommendation for finding quick access statistics.
Education statistics

The Digest includes a selection of data from many sources, both government and private, and draws especially on the results of surveys and activities carried out by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

General statistics
- FedStatsStatistics from over 100 federal agencies. Select “All Topics and Services,” in the upper left. then select the topic area in which you are interested.
- Statistical Abstracts of the United StatesPublished since 1878, this is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Sources of data include the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and many other Federal agencies and private organizations.
