Plagiarism - Using other people's ideas or words without giving them credit.
Plagiarism is cheating and is a form of academic dishonesty
You need to give fair credit to others
It shows the reader that you consulted "experts" in the field
It gives your writing more credibility
Done intentionally or inadvertently it is considered a grave ethical offense and can have serious consequences for a person's education, career, reputation and credibility
How to Avoid Plagiarism
Start your research early
Keep track of ALL your sources
Add citations as you write, not last-minute
