Collection Guides
A Collection Guide is defined as a LibGuide created to highlight the library's special collections and exhibits. Most of these guides are created by Special Collections & Archives staff. These fall into two categories:
- Collection Guide: Information about a specific archival collection in the library (e.g., A.A. (Jack) Drummond Collection).
- Exhibit Guide: A virtual exhibit that showcases an exhibit that was held inside the library to highlight items from one or more collections (e.g., Drumming Up Wealth highlights items in the Drummond Collection).
Naming Conventions
Guide titles, page titles, and friendly URLs should follow the general naming conventions, with the following additions:
- Collection Guide titles and URLs should include "Collection" at the end.
- An Exhibit Guide named after a collection should include "Exhibit" at the end of the title and URL to distinguish it from the Collection Guide (e.g., Royal Air Force in Oklahoma Collection / Royal Air Force in Oklahoma Exhibit).
- Collections named after organizations can use abbreviations in the friendly URL (e.g., /RAF-collection).
- Collections named after people can use the last name only in the friendly URL (e.g., /drummond-collection).
