We are ready to serve your laser cutting needs with the Dremel Laser Cutter.

Submit Dremel Laser Request

Dremel projects work best with files in the .svg format. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and Inkscape, can all be used to create .svg files.

If you are working from an existing image/photo, the better quality the image, the more likely it will convert well into a good etching.

Note: You will be required to be present to adjust settings on the Dremel machine itself when running your project. Please allot enough time for your project.

Policies & Procedures

• Laser cutter is available for free to all current UCO students, staff, and faculty.
• Designs must adhere to the UCO Technology and Network Usage Policy.
• Patrons must submit files in .svg format.
• Patrons must be present for the entirety of the job and adhere to safety protocols.
• Chambers Library is not responsible for the finished print results.
• Staff will contact you within 5 business days (Mon-Fri) to note design approval and offer appointment choices. Call 974-5154 if you have not been contacted.

The materials we currently have available in Innovation Studio:

• birch
• walnut
• acrylic

We recommend testing on birch, no matter what material your final project will use.
