What is an embedded Librarian?
An embedded Librarian is integrated into online classes to support students in their research process.
Why do I need an embedded Librarian?
Many students are unaware of what resources and services are available to them and have trouble accessing the library's collections. An embedded Librarian can help your students when they need it, especially if they are enrolled in an online class and cannot come to the physical library.
An embedded Librarian can:
- provide information about the library's databases, e-books and services
- help students find appropriate web sources
- assist with citations
- identify keywords and develop search strategies
- answer questions about the library or research
- provide support and assistance to online library users
