Public Computers

Student working at a library computer deskThe main public computer area is on the first floor of the library, near the IT Service Desk. Additional public computers are available on other floors, including Macs and workstations that are connected to scanners, printers, and other equipment. View the library floor maps to see locations of each computer area.

UCO students, faculty, and staff can use their UCO credentials to log into any public computer. Other library visitors can request guest computer access at the Information Desk with a photo ID.

All public computers have the following specialized software installed:

  • Respondus LockDown Browser
  • SPSS
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • EndNote

Disclaimer: The library is not responsible for any damage to a user’s removable disk or loss of data that may occur due to malfunctioning of library hardware/software.
 

Accessible Computer Stations

There is one PC on the library's first floor with assistive technology installed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA):

  • NVDA - screen reader
  • JAWS - screen reader
  • MathPlayer - view and speak webpages containing math
  • Dragon - speech recognition
  • ZoomText - screen magnifier
  • WYNN - for difficulty reading and writing
  • Trackball mouse
  • Large print keyboard
  • Scanner

There is also one Mac station on the fourth floor with MacOS accessibility features enabled and a height-adjustable desk.
