Indexing and abstracting of all congressional publications: hearings, including never-published hearings that have been released by the National Archives and indexed by ProQuest staff; House and Senate reports and documents; and Committee Prints. Congressional Base also includes bill full text, tracking and profiles; the full text of the Daily Congressional Record, the Federal Register and the Code of Federal Regulations; member and committee info; campaign finance and member voting data; and political news.
Digital National Security Archive
Declassified U.S. government documents providing vital primary source material to advance research in twentieth century history, politics, and international relations.
U.K. Parliamentary Papers
Provides access to both the British House of Commons and the House of Lords Sessional Papers from the 19th century. Also includes the Hansard Parliamentary debates from 1803 to 2005.

AMDOCS: Documents for the study of American history
This collection covers the year 800 to present with maps, charters, agreements, speeches, constitutions, presidential messages, battle reports, proclamations, treaties, and more documenting the history of the United States.
American Memory
American Memory provides free and open access through the Internet to written and spoken words, sound recordings, still and moving images, prints, maps, and sheet music that document the American experience. It is a digital record of American history and creativity.
American Presidency Project
The American Presidency Project is the only online resource that has consolidated, coded, and organized into a single searchable database:
-The Messages and Papers of the Presidents: Washington - Taft (1789-1913)
-The Public Papers of the Presidents: Hoover to Bush (1929-1993)
-The Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents: Clinton - Obama (1993-2009)
The archive also contain thousands of other documents such as party platforms, candidates' remarks, Statements of Administration Policy, documents released by the Office of the Press Secretary, and election debates.
Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers
From the Library of Congress, search historic American newspapers from 1836-1922. This site also has a directory of US newspapers from 1690-present.

Statistical Abstracts of the United States
Published since 1878, this is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Sources of data include the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and many other Federal agencies and private organizations.
