Information for Creators
There are often times when an author’s or creator's name already exists in the NACO Authority File but is not the same person. In order to make every author unique, we will need a little more information than what can be easily found and will need to contact the author directly. Usually an author can be easily differentiated by adding a date of birth or a middle name, whichever the author feels more comfortable with providing.
Example:
Brenda and the Lost Bear / illustrated by Jane Lee Lee, Jane (Eleanor Jane)
Derain / by Jane Lee Lee, Jane (Art historian)
The Strand Book of International Poets / edited by Jane Lee Lee, Jane 1954-
