The Highway Statistics Series consists of annual reports containing analyzed statistical information on motor fuel, motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses, highway user taxation, highway mileage, travel, and highway finance. This information is presented in tables as well as selected charts. It has been published annually since 1945.
The mandate of the National Transit Database is to help meet the needs of individual public transportation systems, the United States Government, State and local governments, and the public for information on which to base public transportation service planning using uniform categories to accumulate public transportation financial and operating information and using a uniform system of accounts.
