Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling)

The Cuckoo’s Calling is a crime fiction story featuring a private eye named Cormoran Strike.  When the story begins, Cormoran is struggling with his business, money, love life and his health.  His luck changes when he collides with his new temp named Robin Ellacott.  Within 10 minutes of their meeting he has a new client, John Bristow, the     brother of supermodel Lula Landry.  Strike is hired to investigate her death that the police have called a      suicide.  Rowling is excellent at building characters so it wasn’t long before I liked the pained and disheveled protagonist as he limps around London trying to solve the mystery. 2014
