On the 2014 High School Sequoyah Reading list, Au Revoir Crazy European Chick by Joe Schreiber is one wild ride! High school senior, Perry Stormaire, is concentrating on getting accepted into the college he is expected by his lawyer father to get in so he can go on to the ‘right’ law school. He finds himself being coerced by his parents into taking the family’s Lithuanian exchange student, Gobi, to the senior prom. Gobi has been living with the Stormaire family for the past nine months as a mousey, not too bright high school student. When she exposes herself on prom night as a trained assassin, Perry is in for the ride of his life or possibly, the last ride of his life. Like watching a Die Hard movie but in a book: realistic, scary, and action-packed. Two thumbs up! ~ Anita Hill
