Title

Christine

Review

A malevolent entity inhabits a 1957 Plymouth Fury and proceeds to cause pain, dismemberment, and death for a group of high school students in the movie adaptation of Stephen King's Christine. A beautiful specimen of chrome and American engineering, Christine begins her life (and the movie) by choking the life out of an assembly line foreman. Fast forward twenty-five years, and Christine falls in the unwitting hands of Arnie Cunningham, a stereotypical nerd who finds his life and his personality transformed by his restoration of and possession by Christine.

Christine provides plenty of coarse language, sexual tension, and teenagers being murdered in grotesque, horrific ways. Watch as mild-mannered Arnie becomes an A-grade jerk who betrays his friends! Be creeped out by Christine's communication with her victims through classic 1950s rock-n-roll. Although the movie might be a little cheesy for today's hardened audiences, the tension and suspense makes Christine a perfect great choice to watching alone on a dark October night. ~ Jennifer Corley
