Fall of Giants is the first installment in Follett’s Century Trilogy. Book one begins on the eve of the First World War and takes us up to the Bolshevik revolution. Characters and story lines take us to Wales, London, Germany, France, and the United States. This is a typical Follett book, in that it is a sweeping epic story. Somehow Follett is able to present a complex comprehensive story in a way so that is easy to read and not at all confusing. Even though there are many characters that are scattered all over the globe, I really didn’t have a problem keeping everyone straight.
All three books of this trilogy are out, so I heartily recommend this series as a perfect binge reading choice for these cold winter months.
