  • Born August 15, 1846 in Preston Hollow, New York
  • Married Flora Belle Green on November 29, 1876 in Blue Rapids, Marshall County, Kansas. They had one daughter.
  • Died January 14, 1918 in Hutchinson, Kansas

  • 1882 - 1883 Superintendent of Hutchinson City Schools, Hutchinson, Kansas
  • 1889 - 1893 Kansas Superintendent of Public Instruction
  • 1893 Elected by Board of Regents as "Principal" of then Territorial Normal School of Oklahoma on August 29 [Story of CSC, page 17]
