The UCO Library Student Author Collection was created to support and recognize the accomplishments and research of UCO students, for both on campus audiences and the general public.  The collection celebrates these accomplishments in all disciplines and provides access to abstracts or the full text of projects funded by the UCO Office of Research and Grants or other student academic activities that result in professional publication or acknowledgement. The collection is searchable by author, title, abstract, tags/descriptors, year, and faculty mentor.

By integrating research and other scholarly activities with teaching, UCO is developing a model for undergraduate education. The campus has been identified as one of five such university models that helped to produce the guidelines for administering undergraduate research by the Council for Undergraduate Research. Indeed, as UCO continues to develop undergraduate research and creative activities, it supports an emerging national trend in higher education.
