Circulation of Library Materials

Renewing Call 974-3361 to renew your checkouts by phone, or renew online with My Account (sign in at the upper right). You cannot renew online if the books have been renewed more than once or if you owe over $5 in fines.
Eligible borrowers UCO students, staff, faculty and courtesy-card holders may check out library items. Anyone may use the library's resources in person.
Maximum items Students: 25 items at one time; grad students and staff: 35; faculty: 75; ELI students: 5
Time limits Students, 30 days; grad students, 45 days; faculty and staff, 90 days; ELI students, 14 days
Videos Videos check out for one week with a limit of five videos.
Fines Fines are 25¢ per day for most items. Overdue Interlibrary Loan materials are $1 per day per item, with a maximum of $30.00 per ILL item. When an item is 30 days overdue, you will be charged for replacement costs.
Fines for Reserve Materials Reserves are items set aside for your class to use. In order to provide fair access to our reserve materials for the greatest number of users, our fines for overdue reserve materials are higher than other types of materials.
  • 3 hour reserves: $1.00 per minute, a 15-minute grace period, maximum fine of $60.00.
  • 1 day reserve: $60.00 a day, no grace period, and a maximum fine of $60.00
  • 3 day reserves: $20.00 a day, no grace period, and a maximum fine of $60.00
  • 7 day reserves: $20.00 a day, no grace period, and a maximum fine of $60.00
Patrons are billed both the overdue fines and the replacement cost of the items once the reserve item is three days overdue.
Laptop fines Library laptops are checked out for four hours, after which the fine is $10.00 per hour. Click on "laptops" on the left menu for more details on laptop checkout.
